Election Time is Upon Us

Time is running out to become a candidate for the AIAA San Gabriel Valley Section executive council positions. Nominations are sought for the following positions:

Chair	Vice Chair, Young Professionals
Chair Elect	Vice Chair, Public Policy
Vice Chair, Honors and Awards	Vice Chair, Membership
Treasure	Vice Chair, Education
Newsletter Editor	Vice Chair, Programs
Secretary	Vice Chair, Technical
RAC Representative	Vice Chair, Pre-College
Web-Master

Members may nominate themselves or any other interested section member. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Elections will be conducted in April.

Do not hesitate if you are interested, but are unsure you have the skills to participate as an officer, there are experienced people willing to help you get started. All we ask of our council members is to represent our membership’s interests at a few meetings during the year.

Participating in the Section Leadership is very rewarding. If you have ever considered getting involved, now is the time to act. Please E-mail our membership representative at Grailing.Jones@jpl.nasa.gov. In your email please include your name, name of nominee, phone number, and the position seeking.

We are particularly interested in recent college graduates to help move the chapter forward. Senior and experienced members are also welcomed since they provide much of the foundation that is necessary.

The San Gabriel Valley section can make a difference in the future of aerospace but we need your help and participation. I look forward to hearing from you.
