What’s JPL Up To...
Speaker: Trina Ray |
 |
The robotic spacecraft designed and developed by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory have
explored every part of the solar system. The probes include rovers on Mars, orbiters
around Saturn, telescopes in space, a contingent of Earth orbiting satellites, and much
more. In Ms. Ray’s presentation, you'll hear about the latest and greatest from JPL.

Trina Ray
started her career at JPL in 1989, working on the Voyager Neptune Encounter.
Her current position is Science System Engineer for the Project Scientist on the Cassini
mission and the co-chair of the Titan Orbiter Science Team (TOST) where she coordinates
the targeted Titan science opportunities.
Ms. Ray received her Bachelor's degree in Physics from California State University,
Northridge, and her master's degree in Astronomy from San Diego State University, where
her research specialty was Planetary Nebulae.
Ms. Ray is an active public speaker for NASA, JPL and, in particular, for the Cassini
program. She is also a founding member of the Cassini Virtual Singers, a group of project
staff members that rewrites lyrics to popular melodies and performs at various Project and
Laboratory functions.
